LE’ Projects

LE’Projects was born as an independent institution – a catalyst for contemporary international artists – dedicated to supporting creators with roots in Eastern Europe who now live, study, and work abroad. Many of these artists have graduated from prestigious institutions around the world and are building their creative paths across different cultural landscapes.

Since 2005, LE’Projects has embraced a nomadic approach, staging exhibitions in major cultural capitals – New York, London, Milan, the South of France – without being confined to a single physical space. In an era where movement defines both art and life, permanence is no longer essential. Instead, the gallery exists wherever art needs to be seen, creating dynamic, site-specific exhibitions that adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of contemporary culture. LE’Projects places a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and authentic artistic techniques. The gallery highlights works created through traditional, hand-crafted methods, such as sculpture, tapestry, and oil painting, celebrating the artistry behind each medium. A striking example is Veronika Smirnoff, who prepares her own tempera and oil using antique techniques, ensuring that her practice remains deeply rooted in history while expressing a contemporary vision. Statement: LE’Projects thrives on this belief – existing beyond the limitations of a fixed space, embracing craftsmanship, global connection, and cultural exchange. We support artists who remain dedicated to the physical act of creation, those who work with their hands, shaping materials with skill, tradition, and authenticity. In an era of extreme technological progress, and with full respect for innovation, we believe it is equally important to preserve and support true craftsmanship and hand skills. The mastery of materials, the tactile connection between artist and artwork, and the legacy of traditional techniques are essential to the future of art. We are not a conceptual gallery – our focus is on craftsmanship. We believe in the power of technique, in the mastery of materials, and in the timeless value of art that is physically made, not just conceived. For us, art does not belong behind walls – it belongs everywhere. It should be created without borders, experienced without constraints, and celebrated for its ability to transcend time, place, and definition.
